Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency RoomWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team during the night shift. This position involves providing care in a very high acuity unit where you will encounter a diverse range of critical cases.Key Responsibilities:Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care.Provide routine and complex nursing care, demonstrating an understanding of all relevant aspects of patient situations.Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.Administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols, monitoring for side effects and therapeutic effectiveness.Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care delivered accurately.Assess patient and family learning needs, providing education and identifying resources as necessary.Delegate tasks appropriately to other care providers to manage the clinical situation effectively.Patient Care Focus:The unit frequently handles cases related to:StrokesCardiovascular issuesDiabetesWound careBehavioral healthSepsisSome trauma casesQualifications:Current RN License in the state of employment or a compact state.BLS certification via AHA required.ACLS certification via AHA required.PALS certification via AHA required.TNCC certification required.De-Escalation certification required.Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.Work Schedule:This is a full-time position with night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.Onboarding and Training:All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.New hires will be precepted by designated trained staff and will complete an Emergency Department-specific competency validation.Newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or structured orientation to achieve competency at the bedside.Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is expected.Join our team and play a vital role in delivering high-quality emergency care to patients in critical condition.
