TIG Welder/Fabricator

Our company is seeking a skilled TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting and welding aluminum parts in the manufacturing of transit shelters. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine welding requirements. Set up and operate TIG welding equipment to join, fabricate, and repair metal parts and structures. Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Perform welding in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions as needed. Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work area in proper working condition. Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and deadlines. Perform related tasks such as grinding, cutting, and finishing metal surfaces. Assist in other production duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in welding preferred. Proven experience as a TIG Welder or similar welding role. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong knowledge of TIG welding techniques, materials, and equipment. AWS certification preferred. Familiarity with other welding methods, MIG is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Safety-focused mindset and ability to follow established procedures. Work Environment Manufacturing/production facility with exposure to heat, noise, and welding equipment. Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as welding helmet, gloves, and safety glasses. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and manual dexterity required.
