Wound Care Registered Nurse

Overview We are seeking a Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our team! New Clinical Career Ladder for Full Time Employees! Participants in the Clinical Career Ladder are eligible for pay increases after completion of Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert Level. Hospital Details Vibra Hospital of Sacramento, located in Folsom, CA, is a 58‑bed critical care hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Patients often require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care for assigned patients with wound care needs. Provide education on wound, ostomy, and skin integrity issues for patients, families, and nursing staff. Deliver direct care and delegate and supervise all nursing care. Demonstrate clinical competence, manage patient care, improve quality of care, establish professional relationships, and utilize professional skills. Required Skills Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment. Current BLS certification from a Vibra‑approved vendor. One (1) year of experience in wound care. Certification in Wound Care within 6 months of hire preferred. Additional Qualifications and Skills Previous experience working in wound care or demonstrated interest and aptitude in wound care skills. Ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of teams and individuals. Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations. Ability to project a professional image. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Ability to identify and implement components of the nursing process. Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
