MRI Technologist Weekender Days

Role Overview: MRI Technologist I is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist in diagnosis, using radiofrequencies within a magnetic field. Key Responsibilities: Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification, and prepare patients for exams while maintaining confidentiality. Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and prioritize patient safety following ALARA principles. Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, document activities, and evaluate image quality for accuracy and technical standards. Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying safety principles to minimize risks. Assist licensed practitioners with MRI procedures and interventional techniques, select suitable pulse sequences, and ensure proper data acquisition. Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties. Qualifications & Skills: Certification from ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB with ARRT-MR is required. Graduate from a radiologic technology training program; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
