Senior Accountant


We are seeking a Senior Accountant for our manufacturing client located in the northern suburbs near Libertyville. The Senior Accountant will lead key accounting functions and support accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role plays a critical part in close processes, financial analysis, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, while partnering cross-functionally to support business goals.


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in compliance with GAAP
• Oversee general ledger activity, reconciliations, and subledgers
• Supervise AP, AR, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and resolving complex issues
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and provide insights to leadership
• Manage internal and external audit processes and ensure regulatory compliance
• Support budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis
• Perform financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Maintain strong internal controls and improve accounting processes and systems
• Mentor junior accounting staff and support team development
• Partner with finance and business teams on strategic initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience
• Month End Close
• Manufacturing industry experience

*Estimated annual comp between $85,000 and $105,000 depending on experience
