Production Test Technician - 3rd Shift

Job Description Job Summary: The Cleanroom Technician is responsible for the assembly, inspection, and testing of infrared (IR) camera systems in a controlled cleanroom environment. This role ensures high-quality product output by following strict process controls, cleanliness standards, and detailed work instructions. This is a third shift position from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM Monday's through Friday's. For the first months, 3rd shift new hires may need to train during the 1st shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM before moving to the 3rd shift. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Perform precision assembly of infrared camera components, including optics, sensors, and mechanical housings Execute functional and environmental testing of IR camera systems per defined procedures Inspect components and finished assemblies using microscopes and metrology tools to ensure quality standards are met Follow detailed work instructions, travelers, and engineering documentation with high accuracy Maintain strict adherence to cleanroom protocols (gowning, contamination control, ESD handling) Record production data, test results, and non-conformances accurately in manufacturing systems (e.g., Camstar or equivalent) Identify defects or process deviations and escalate issues to engineering or supervisory staff Support continuous improvement initiatives related to yield, throughput, and quality Assist with equipment setup, calibration checks, and routine maintenance Job Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred 1–3+ years of experience in cleanroom assembly, electronics manufacturing, or optical/mechanical assembly Experience working with small components and precision tools (tweezers, torque drivers, microscopes) Familiarity with electrostatic discharge (ESD) and contamination control practices Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and specifications Basic computer skills for data entry and manufacturing systems Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to use a microscope up to 8 hours a day Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce. Salary Range: $50,600.00-$67,500.000 The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
