Associate Software Maintenance Engineer

The Associate Software Maintenance Engineer is responsible for executing tasks following detailed instructions and standardized procedures to ensure product stability and resolution of routine technical issues. This role exercises judgment in troubleshooting and debugging software issues, resolving problems of minimal complexity, and ensuring maintenance tasks are completed on time. The position involves collaborating with more senior engineers for guidance and skill development.

• Assist in troubleshooting and debugging software defects based on predefined procedures.
• Follow detailed instructions to support the maintenance of software components and resolve routine issues.
• Support senior team members in backporting bug fixes to stable release streams.
• Contribute to the monitoring of automated tests and workflows for ongoing software stability.
• Document processes and updates for knowledge sharing within the team.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to complete assigned tasks and deliver updates on time.

The salary range for this position is $68,900.00 - $106,910.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
