Lobby Attendant
Margaritaville Resort Gatlinburg
POSITION SUMMARY: Keeps lobby and public facilities (such as lobby restrooms, telephone area, front desk, and offices) in a neat and clean condition. Public area attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and address guest requests. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleans rooms, hallways and restrooms.
- Sweeps carpets.
- Empties ashtrays, urns and all trash cans.
- Polishes furniture and fixtures.
- Vacuums and polishes elevators.
- Keeps the front of the hotel and all public space free from trash.
- Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and shampoo machine.
- Washes walls and ceilings, moves and arranges furniture.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.
- Dusts and polishes metal work.
- Maintains lobby cart, cleaning materials and chemicals.
- Attends daily department stand up meetings.
- Clean and maintain all equipment daily.
- Follow up a special cleaning schedule given by the housekeeping management.
- Report maintenance to supervisor/housekeeping management immediately.
- Comply with Lost and Found policy of the hotel.
- Assist Guest in public areas when required.
- Have good knowledge of all hotel facilities, hours of operation, restaurants, shops and function rooms.
- Post caution signs as and when required.
- Responsible for upkeep of all the equipment in use i.e., vacuum cleaner, mops dry & wet, scrubbing machine.
- Complete special projects and additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Must be willing to work holidays and weekends.
- Friendly, outgoing personality and professional appearance required.
- Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend with ability to lift, push, and pull.
- Must have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
