Duration: 12+ months of contract
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Integration Lead to design, develop, and lead enterprise-scale data integration solutions leveraging Snowflake and modern cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, cloud integration, data engineering, and API/data integration patterns.
This role will work closely with data architects, engineers, application teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing data integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of Snowflake-based data integration and data engineering solutions .
- Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting data from multiple enterprise and cloud sources into Snowflake.
- Design integration patterns using APIs, batch processing, streaming, CDC, and event-driven architectures .
- Develop and optimize Snowflake SQL, stored procedures, views, tasks, streams, and data pipelines .
- Integrate Snowflake with cloud services, databases, applications, SaaS platforms, and enterprise data sources.
- Work with tools such as Snowpipe, Snowpipe Streaming, Streams & Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and Snowpark .
- Implement data integration using technologies such as Informatica, Matillion, dbt, Fivetran, Talend, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue , or equivalent platforms.
- Design data models and optimize Snowflake environments for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency .
- Implement CDC and incremental data-loading strategies .
- Establish data quality, validation, reconciliation, monitoring, and error-handling mechanisms.
- Implement appropriate security, governance, access control, encryption, and data protection practices.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects to define integration standards, patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, code reviews, and troubleshooting activities.
- Mentor data engineers and provide technical leadership across integration initiatives.
- Support CI/CD and DevOps practices for data pipelines and Snowflake deployments.
- Troubleshoot production integration issues and drive root-cause analysis and resolution.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, ETL/ELT, or related technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and enterprise data integration.
- Advanced SQL skills and strong understanding of relational databases.
- Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines .
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture , including warehouses, databases, schemas, stages, streams, tasks, and security.
- Experience with Snowflake performance tuning and cost optimization .
- Hands-on experience with Snowpipe / Snowpipe Streaming, Streams & Tasks, and CDC .
- Strong understanding of cloud data platforms , preferably AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with at least one major integration/data engineering platform such as:
- Informatica
- Matillion
- Fivetran
- dbt
- Talend
- Azure Data Factory
- AWS Glue
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and enterprise application integration .
- Understanding of batch, real-time, and event-driven data integration .
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices .
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance.
