Job description:The Jewish Home of CNY is looking for a Nursing Coordinator with exceptional organizational skills along with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdministrative OperationsProvides comprehensive administrative support to Nursing Administration.Coordinates departmental communications and serves as an administrative resource for staff, vendors, physicians, consultants, and outside agencies.Answers telephones, routes calls, responds to routine inquiries, and ensures timely communication.Maintains department formsAssists with departmental projects and operational initiatives as assigned.Maintains departmental filing systems, both electronic and paper.Coordinates document retention and records management in accordance with facility policies.Customer ServiceProvides professional customer service to residents, families, visitors, physicians, consultants, vendors, and employees.Maintains confidentiality of all resident, employee, and organizational information.Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in all communications.QualificationsRequiredHigh School Diploma or GED.Minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative experience.Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated organizational and project coordination skills.PreferredAssociate 's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or related field.Experience in healthcare administration, long-term care, or hospital operations.Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).Knowledge of CMS and NYSDOH regulatory requirements.Experience supporting executive or departmental leadership.Physical RequirementsFrequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.Ability to operate computers, office equipment, and communication devices.Ability to travel throughout the facility as operational needs require.Benefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork Location: In personPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
