Regional Manager of Operations

This key leadership position is responsible for driving operational excellence, supporting Operations Managers, ensuring high-quality patient care, and managing overall regional performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong EMS leadership experience, operational expertise, and a passion for developing teams while maintaining exceptional service standards. Position Summary The Regional Manager of Operations will provide strategic leadership, oversight, and direction to all divisions within their assigned region. This role is responsible for managing key performance indicators, developing Operations Managers, overseeing staffing and employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with medical and operational standards, and maintaining accountability for regional financial performance. This position reports directly to the Regional Director of Operations. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations Lead, mentor, and develop Operations Managers across the region. Establish, monitor, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) for each division. Ensure quality operational performance through consistent communication, oversight, and performance reviews. Provide leadership and support regarding employee staffing, performance, and operational challenges. Review operational policies and procedures and recommend improvements when necessary. Manage and maintain accountability for the regional profit and loss (P&L). Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational processes. Drive operational efficiencies while maintaining exceptional patient care standards. Clinical & Stakeholder Relations Serve as the primary operational liaison with healthcare system partners and stakeholders. Meet regularly with the Medical Director to ensure adherence to established medical protocols and standards. Perform direct ALS and BLS patient care activities when operational needs require. Training & Safety Establish and oversee quarterly EMS training programs within the region. Chair and lead the regional Safety Committee. Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Regional Director of Operations. Qualifications Required Experience Minimum of 3 years of management experience in EMS, healthcare, transportation, public safety, or a related service industry. Progressive leadership experience supervising an EMS workforce of similar size and complexity. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed Paramedic. Demonstrated experience managing operational performance, personnel, and budgets. Education Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent combination of EMS leadership and industry experience will be considered. Preferred Skills Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Proven ability to drive operational excellence and accountability. Experience with financial management, budgeting, and P&L oversight. Working knowledge of EMS regulations, healthcare partnerships, and clinical operations.
