We are passionate, we care about people, we perform at a superior level, and we protect others and our environments.The base hourly rate for this position is $24.29.This position is responsible for communicating and supporting JM core values and delivering the JM experience.The Quality Technician will have the responsibilities of performing lab functions to include running quality assurance tests and in-process and finished goods quality checks.Responsibilities:Collect samples, perform QA test on finished and incoming goods, following all test methods and specifications.Make dispositions on raw materials, returned goods, and daily productionParticipate in writing work instructions and continuous improvement effortsComplete required quality reporting and perform data analysisPerform and complete other work as assigned by supervisor and assist other departments as neededResponsible for quality performance on designated work shiftLeadership Responsibilities:There are no supervisory responsibilities for direct reports for this position.Requirements: (education, skills, and abilities)Quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong math skillsProficiency in using Microsoft OfficeSelf-Motivated and able to work with minimal supervisionGeneral knowledge of computers with the ability to navigate various programs.High school diploma or equivalent requiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong comprehension skillsAble to work flexible schedule to include possible overtimeWillingness to work in non-temperature-controlled environment.Physical Requirements:The physical requirements of this position are: (these requirements are typical for most of our manufacturing roles)The ability to stand for extended periodsThe ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.Use of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling)The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environmentThe ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold).The ability to withstand the rigors of working a 12(or 8)-hour rotating shift schedule.The ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.The ability to reach or work above the shoulderPlease Keep in MindIf you do not meet 100% of these requirements, we at JM still want to hear from you.
