• Schedule: 24-hour shifts (07:00 AM – 07:00 AM), Monday through Friday, with weekend call coverage
• Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• Hours/Week: Approximately 40-50 hours

• Licenses/Certs: Tennessee Medical License or IMLC, ACLS, BLS, DEA for Tennessee
• Experience: Extensive experience with all General GI and ERCP cases; Board Certification in GI required

What You’ll Do

• Provide expert GI consultation and perform procedures for adult patients
• Conduct general GI and ERCP procedures, averaging 7-8 per day
• Support the endoscopy suite and assist with rounding if needed
• Handle acute cases during 24-hour call shifts, including phone consults
• Collaborate with support staff including Endo nurses and support teams
• Assist with scheduling and procedures, including EUS when available
• Maintain detailed documentation in EPIC EMR system
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards

What You Need

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Tennessee State Medical License or IMLC acceptance
• Active DEA License (Tennessee)
• ACLS & BLS certifications
• Proven experience in all General GI and ERCP procedures
• Ability to work 24-hour shifts and call rotations
• Flexibility for scheduled procedures and support duties

This assignment is with a prominent healthcare facility in Kingsport, Tennessee, providing adult GI services including comprehensive endoscopy and ERCP procedures. Support staff includes endoscopy nurses, and the department features Olympus equipment and scheduled procedural blocks, ensuring a smooth workflow. The volume of cases varies, with a typical daily caseload of 5-6 procedures, and opportunities for scheduled procedures during blocked time in the endoscopy suite.
