Concrete Foreman

Job Summary Alpha Paving Industries LLC is looking for an experienced and reliable Concrete Foreman to lead and manage our concrete crews on construction sites. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has hands‑on concrete experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and site plans. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise concrete crew members, including finishers and laborers Coordinate daily tasks and assign work to crew based on project needs Ensure correct placement, leveling, finishing, and curing of concrete Read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications Ensure all work meets quality standards and follows safety protocols Coordinate materials, equipment, and inspections to avoid delays Monitor progress and report status updates to the Superintendent or PM Resolve on‑site issues promptly and effectively Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Enforce company policies and safety compliance (OSHA, PPE, etc.) Oversee and supervise daily operations of one of our Concrete Crews including safety, quality, and personnel management aspects Must be able to walk through construction sites and lift 50 pounds from the ground Support safety & health programs, including daily tailgate meetings, accident investigations, and development and implementation of corrective action plans Provide guidance and development of hourly personnel to meet performance requirements Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications/Requirements 5+ years of hands‑on concrete experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory role Strong knowledge of forming, placing, finishing, and curing concrete Proven ability to read blueprints and interpret construction documents Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines Physical ability to perform work in various weather and jobsite conditions Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area Physical Requirements Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods: Constantly Moving about to accomplish tasks at a worksite or moving from one worksite to another: Constantly Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, such as stooping, kneeling, or crouching: Constantly Adjusting, moving and lifting objects in all directions: Constantly Talking and hearing to communicate with others: Constantly Seeing to perform job duties at close range, such as monitors or screens: Constantly Seeing to perform job duties at a distance, such as driving or operating equipment: Occasionally Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers: Constantly Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like: Occasionally Operating machinery and/or power tools: Constantly Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment: Constantly The ability to travel regionally or nationally: Never Physical Demands Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing: Constantly Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds: Constantly Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds: Constantly Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more: Never Working Conditions Low temperatures: Constantly High temperatures: Constantly Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind: Constantly Noisy environments: Occasionally Hazardous conditions: Constantly Shift work, to include overnight work: Occasionally Frequent overtime, including weekends: Occasionally Office environment: Rarely Benefits Pave America and its companies offer a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well‑being.
