Body Shop ManagerWhiteford Kenworth is seeking an experienced and motivated Body Shop Manager to lead the daily operations of our Body Shop and Service Shop at our Perrysburg location. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing shop productivity, quality standards, customer satisfaction, employee development, safety compliance, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service while fostering a positive and team-oriented work environment.Oversee the daily operations of the Body Shop and Service Shop, ensuring efficient workflow, quality repairs, and exceptional customer serviceLead, coach, and support technicians and department staff to promote productivity, safety, teamwork, and professional developmentSchedule work and assign jobs based on technician skill level, certifications, experience, and workload demandsMonitor shop workflow and production to ensure repairs and maintenance are completed efficiently, accurately, and on scheduleEnsure department processes are consistently followed to support operational excellence and customer satisfactionReview technician findings, repair recommendations, repair orders, and work orders to ensure accurate estimates, repair plans, proper labor documentation, and efficient technician time managementCommunicate with customers, insurance representatives, vendors, fleet managers, and internal departments regarding repair estimates, approvals, supplemental repairs, repair status, completion timelines, and resolution of concernsManage the estimate approval process and ensure all labor, parts, materials, warranty, and sublet charges are accurately documented and billedCoordinate with the Parts Department to ensure parts are ordered, received, billed correctly, and available to support shop productivityOversee warranty administration processes to ensure claims are completed accurately and submitted in a timely mannerMaintain accurate records of departmental transactions, customer communications, and operational metricsMonitor and maintain shop equipment, tools, and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operationPromote and enforce all company policies, safety procedures, environmental regulations, and housekeeping standardsDevelop and manage departmental goals, budgets, expenses, and key performance indicators in alignment with company objectivesAnalyze shop performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfactionConduct department meetings and facilitate regular communication regarding safety, performance expectations, company initiatives, and operational updatesAddress employee concerns, customer issues, and operational challenges in a professional and timely mannerMaintain a professional attitude, appearance, and positive representation of the company at all timesAbility to maintain regular attendance and work scheduled hours necessary to meet customer and business needsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid Group Life and AD&D insuranceShort-term disability, life insurance, and other voluntary benefit options401(k) with company matchAnnual paid time off (PTO)Safety boot reimbursementCompany-provided vehicleProfessional work environment focused on safety, quality, and teamworkFamily-oriented culture built on collaboration, respect, and pride in workmanshipPrevious supervisory or management experience in a heavy-duty truck dealership, commercial vehicle repair facility, collision repair center, transportation service operation, or related industry is required.
