Description

• Assess patients across all age groups, integrating standardized evaluations and observational insights.
• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to direct short-term goals and reinforce long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focused on communication, language enhancement, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Coordinate efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate cohesive care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, thereby ensuring seamless care throughout the healing process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Keep abreast of developments in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within 30 days of hire.
