Description

• Assess a diverse patient demographic spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing standardized evaluations and observational strategies.
• Create customized treatment plans that encompass both immediate wishes and broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Facilitate individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
• Engage in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers to design cohesive treatment strategies.
• Provide invaluable education for patients and their families to foster progress beyond your clinical interactions.
• Support rare inpatient speech evaluations and interventions to maintain seamless care throughout the rehabilitation journey.
• Ensure meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with all state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay abreast of new advancements in speech pathology through ongoing education and peer interaction.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet possessing ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of joining.
