Experienced legal assistant/paralegal

Job Description

Green & French, LLP, a downtown San Diego firm practicing common interest development (HOA), real estate, construction, and employment law, is seeking an experienced legal assistant/paralegal to support our attorneys.

This is a full-time, in-office position. It is not remote or hybrid.

\n

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Provide direct support to attorneys on a busy litigation and transactional docket
\n
• Prepare pleading shells, proofs of service, and other litigation documents from attorney drafts
\n
• E-file documents with state and federal courts and track filing deadlines
\n
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors by phone and email
\n
• Maintain calendars, files, and correspondence
\n
• Provide general administrative support as needed
\n

Requirements

\n

\n
• Prior experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in a California civil litigation practice
\n
• Working knowledge of California civil procedure, court rules, and filing requirements
\n
• Experience with court e-filing systems
\n
• Proficiency in WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Docs/Workspace
\n
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
\n
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication with clients
\n
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced office
\n

Preferred

• Paralegal certificate
\n
• Experience with common interest development, real estate, construction, or employment matters
\n

\n

Compensation: $25–$40 per hour, depending on experience.
