Forklift Operator - Warehouse

Our client is a long-time, locally owned and operated public refrigerated warehouse who delivers logistics through a national warehouse network of multi-temperature-controlled storage SUMMARY: Use a sit-down forklift to unload and load customer product, scan product, and place it correctly in the warehouse while maintaining a safe and clean work area. PAY: Up to $22.00 depending on shift and experience SHIFTS: Mon - Friday (some weekends based on work volume). (Subject to availability) DAY 6:00 am - 3:00 pm OR SWING : 3:00 pm - 12:00 am

DUTIES

• Move a variety of products safely using a forklift, pallet jack, or dock loader.
• Load and unload trucks and rail car and move the product onto the pallet in the correct position.
• Scan the product and move it to the loading area, checking for accuracy and placement.
• Pack product using shrink-wrap and attach the correct labels to the product.
• Inventory products as needed.
• Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Clear work area of loose wood and plastic, keeping areas clean and safe
• Promote a safe work environment through personal actions.
• Be ready and eager to assist other departments, coworkers as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Minimum 1-year of recent, continuous experience working in warehouse environment
• Minimum 6 months of recent, continuous sit-down Forklift experience.
• Familiar with WMS and RF scanners
• Strong teamwork skills and a "how can I help" attitude.
• Attention to details such as labels and product numbers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working in temperature controlled environments for entire shift.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $22.00 Per Hour
