Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students in a dynamic school-based setting near Garland, TX. This full-time position—running from August 11, 2026, through May 28, 2027—focuses on providing direct therapy within a collaborative team dedicated to empowering approximately 130 students in a regional day school program.

As a valued SLP with American Sign Language (ASL) fluency, you'll focus on delivering therapy services while collaborating closely with fellow Speech Language Pathologists—one dedicated to evaluations and two primarily leading therapy sessions. This is an on-site role, ensuring meaningful, hands-on engagement with students and staff while helping to shape the academic and communicative success for DHH learners.

Qualifications:

• Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license
• Demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or DHH Teacher certification
• Recent or completed TEA fingerprinting (must be cleared before starting)
• Experience supporting DHH or special needs students (preferred but not required)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• A passion for empowering children through accessible education

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group speech therapy to DHH students
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other SLPs
• Document student progress and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Adapt therapy to diverse student needs within the program
• Engage in meetings, IEP planning, and parent communication as needed
