About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice Provost for the School of Creative Arts, Entertainment, and Design. The successful candidate will be a visionary and collaborative academic leader, responsible for providing strategic leadership in academic quality, student success, faculty and academic manager development, program effectiveness, and resource stewardship. This role is pivotal in shaping the learning experience across creative disciplines and fostering partnerships with employers and community organizations to ensure that academic programs are responsive to student needs and industry trends. The Vice Provost will also be tasked with overseeing faculty and academic managers, maintaining student pathways, and degree maps, and advocating for the School's programs and people within the broader community. Applicants for the Vice Provost position must have a Master's degree (Doctorate preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of teaching, administrative, or educational leadership experience, with at least 3 years in an upper-level administrative role in a community college or higher education environment. The role requires a leader with a distinguished record of academic excellence, including teaching, scholarly publications, or creative accomplishments. Key responsibilities include setting a clear vision for the academic school, advancing student success, supporting high-quality curriculum and instruction, and building partnerships to expand experiential learning and employment opportunities for students. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and team-building skills, and be adept at data-informed decision-making, innovation, and resource management.
