About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, PACU – Kansas Start Date: September 7, 2026
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Call requirement includes two 8-hour weekend shifts every third weekend with 30-minute response time Highlights:

• 30-bed Post-Anesthesia Care Unit with diverse surgical case mix including craniotomies and orthopedic procedures
• Optimal nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:2 standard or 1:1 for higher acuity patients
• Collaborative team environment with 12 nurses on day shift and dedicated charge nurse leadership
• Meditech EMR system in use
• Travel assignment offering valuable experience in a high-volume recovery room setting
• Day shift focus with minimal night coverage requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of current hospital PACU RN experience required
• Active RN license in Kansas or compact state eligibility
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Flexibility with schedule preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
