Radiologic Technologist (Part-Time)This part-time Radiologic Technologist position offers an initial schedule of 24 hours per week with the potential to increase to 32 hours per week as patient volume continues to grow. The role supports a busy surgery center that is expanding its team of physicians and adding a second technologist to enhance imaging services. You will perform high-quality radiologic procedures, with a strong focus on C-Arm imaging, in a collaborative and patient-centered surgical environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform radiologic imaging procedures in a surgery center setting, with a primary focus on C-Arm imaging to support surgical and specialty care cases.Operate radiologic technology and imaging equipment safely and effectively, ensuring accurate positioning, appropriate exposure, and high-quality diagnostic images.Apply knowledge of sterilization techniques and surgical instrumentation to support imaging needs in the operating room and procedural areas.Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and operating room staff to coordinate imaging during procedures and respond efficiently to intraoperative imaging requests.Follow established protocols, safety guidelines, and radiation protection standards to safeguard patients, staff, and yourself.Verify patient identity, review relevant clinical information, and explain imaging procedures to patients in a clear and reassuring manner.Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment as appropriate, and promptly report any issues that could impact image quality or patient safety.Document procedures accurately and completely in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.Support a flexible, rotating schedule, providing reliable coverage on key days such as Mondays and Tuesdays and participating in a pattern that may include every other Wednesday and every other Friday off.Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment by communicating effectively, assisting colleagues as needed, and participating in continuous improvement of imaging services.Essential SkillsMinimum of 1 year of Radiologic Technology experience preferred; candidates with approximately 10–11 months of experience will also be considered.Demonstrated experience and proficiency with C-Arm imaging equipment is required.Current ARRT license in Computed Tomography (CT) or Radiologic Technology, with strong knowledge of radiologic equipment and imaging principles.Solid understanding of sterilization practices and infection control in a surgical or procedural environment.Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and its use in the operating room to support imaging during procedures.Ability to operate radiologic equipment safely and accurately, following established protocols and radiation safety standards.Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images consistently.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other clinical staff.Ability to manage a flexible part-time schedule and reliably cover early morning shifts.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience working in a surgery center or operating room environment is highly beneficial.Comfort working in a fast-paced setting with increasing patient volume and multiple physician specialists.Ability to adapt to evolving workflows and technologies as the surgery center expands its specialty care services.Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks during busy surgical schedules.Commitment to patient-centered care and a professional, compassionate approach to patient interactions.Willingness to participate in a multi-step interview process that may include an initial phone or Zoom conversation followed by an onsite or virtual meeting with the hiring team.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a modern surgery center setting that focuses on specialty care and supports a growing team of physician specialists. You will work alongside operating room staff, including nursing and clinical teams, in a collaborative environment that values high-quality patient care and continuous improvement. The schedule is part-time, with one position at 24 hours per week and another at 32 hours per week, and offers flexibility while maintaining consistency and predictability. Mondays and Tuesdays are the busiest days and are key coverage days, with the opportunity to follow a rotating schedule that can provide every other Wednesday and every other Friday off, aligned with the facility's closure on the 1st and 3rd Fridays and the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month. Start times are flexible between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM, with typical shifts running from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You will regularly use C-Arm imaging equipment and other radiologic technology in the operating room, working in a clean, sterile environment that adheres to strict safety and infection control standards.
