Diesel Technician Mechanic

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Senior Level Diesel Technician in Suncook, New Hampshire. The position offers competitive hourly pay, a sign‑on bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must: Obtain a CDL within 6 months after hire Pass a Ryder drug test Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check (drug and alcohol verification for the last 3 years) Responsibilities Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including: Standard vehicle maintenance Preventive maintenance Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers when applicable Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision Replace defective components as instructed Work unsupervised on most tasks Perform facility maintenance duties Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints once a task is assigned Utilize key functions of the shop management system and electronic documentation Work in accordance with all federal, provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT) Act as mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels Demonstrate the ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents Other support duties as required (e.g., Service Island support) SBTIII trained within 180 days (SBT220) Complete two of the OEM online diagnostic scan tool software courses within 365 days, as required by location fleet mix Ryder is proud to be an equal‑opportunity employer and a drug‑free workplace.
