Job Description

This role involves operating a stand-up forklift to move raw materials and finished products within a manufacturing warehouse. You will support production lines by picking and delivering materials, staging finished goods, and loading trailers while following safety and quality standards in a GMP facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up forklift to pick and deliver raw materials to production lines in a timely and accurate manner.
• Retrieve finished products from production lines and stage them in designated warehouse locations.
• Load and unload trailers with finished goods and materials using a stand-up forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Use RF scan guns to accurately track inventory movements, verify product locations, and complete work orders.
• Assist with general inventory control, including counting, organizing, and replenishing materials as needed.
• Handle materials safely and efficiently, following all warehouse procedures and GMP requirements.
• Use hand tools and basic machine operation skills as needed to support warehouse and production activities.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of minor issues related to material handling or equipment, escalating as necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with facility standards.
• Follow all safety policies, quality guidelines, and standard operating procedures while working on the 3rd shift schedule.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating a stand-up forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience using RF scan guns for inventory tracking and material movement.
• Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with RF scanners for picking, staging, and shipping tasks.
• Experience with material handling, including moving, staging, and organizing raw materials and finished goods.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and basic written instructions.
• Basic machine operating skills related to warehouse or production support.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory and documentation.
• Ability to work independently on a consistent 3rd shift schedule (11:00 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a GMP-regulated facility or similar quality-focused environment.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting minor equipment or process issues in a warehouse setting.
• Comfort working in a food manufacturing environment with strong product-related odors (such as mustard and vinegar).

Work Environment

This position is based in a GMP-regulated food manufacturing facility that produces mustard and vinegar products, resulting in a noticeable mustard-like smell throughout the plant and warehouse. You will work primarily in a warehouse environment using stand-up forklifts, RF scanners, and standard material handling equipment. The role follows a 3rd shift schedule from 11:00 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., with an associated shift premium for overnight work. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety and quality procedures, and you should expect to follow standard industrial dress and PPE requirements appropriate for a GMP food manufacturing setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
