If so, we are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Manager. The right person will have great energy and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee the entire receivables process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances, maintaining accurate financial records, and fostering excellent client relationships. Casual environment. Your expertise will work directly with the Controller; who will be able to train and "guide" through the learning process.

Responsibilities

• Manage billing cycles, invoice processing, and collections activities efficiently.
• Oversee the accurate entry of data into various accounting systems such as Government portals and robust construction software.
• Monitor ageing reports. Work with the Controller to develop strategies for effective collections, including negotiation and resolution of overdue accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including the scheduling department,  customer service, accounting, contract management and bidding.
• Prepare detailed reports on receivables status, and account analysis using Excel data analysis techniques and spreadsheets.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures by preparing journal entries related to receivables and revenue recognition.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all collection efforts, account adjustments, and reconciliation activities for audit purposes.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries professionally via phone or email while maintaining positive client relationships.

Skills

• Must be a quick learner and super organized.
• Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts related to receivables management.
• Skilled in Excel formulas, spreadsheets, Excel data analysis, account reconciliation, and journal entries for detailed financial analysis.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on client communication, phone etiquette, and professional negotiation techniques.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis and perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
