Scrum Master

On-site 4–5 days/week – Boston, MA

Our client seeks an experienced Scrum Master to lead a product team operating within a SAFe-based enterprise model. This role will stabilize an in-flight, high-velocity environment by providing facilitation, coaching, and delivery enablement for a mature team. The Scrum Master will drive ceremony execution, backlog readiness, impediment removal, and transparent stakeholder alignment across programs and value streams. The work supports ongoing enterprise agile transformation while maintaining delivery momentum and team health.

Rate: $55.00 – $65.00/hr W2

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the dedicated Scrum Master for the omnichannel delivery team, ensuring consistent and effective agile execution
• Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives
• Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on SAFe and agile best practices
• Maintain a steady flow of groomed, ready backlog items to keep teams productive
• Partner with Product Owners to ensure clear, actionable requirements aligned with program goals
• Identify, escalate, and remove impediments impacting sprint commitments or delivery outcomes
• Act as a bridge between delivery teams and leadership to ensure transparency on progress, risks, and dependencies
• Provide real-time insights to the Program Manager on delivery health and team capacity
• Hold stakeholders accountable to timelines and commitments in a constructive manner
• Coordinate across value streams and programs within a large-scale SAFe environment
• Support release planning, PI planning, and cross-team dependency alignment
• Promote consistency as enterprise-wide agile transformation progresses

Experience Requirements

• 5–10+ years of Scrum Master experience supporting enterprise-scale teams
• Active Scrum Master certification
• Proven experience working within SAFe environments
• Experience supporting large, mature teams with complex dependencies
• Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-expectation environments
• SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) preferred
• SAFe Agilist (SA) preferred
• SAFe Practitioner (SP) preferred
• SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) preferred

Education / Certifications

• Active Scrum Master certification required
• SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) preferred
• SAFe Agilist (SA) preferred
• SAFe Practitioner (SP) preferred
• SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) preferred

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
