LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a Non-Profit organization in Montgomery County, PA and we are looking for a Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller. The ideal candidate will be from public accounting with a background in the audit and assurance practice, particularly with clients in the non-profit sector. The position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within the organization while being mentored by the Controller and CFO. This role is onsite 5 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing all accounting operations including fund accounting, restricted funds, and release of funds
• Budgeting, analysis, preparation of financial reports including Statement of Assets and Statement of Activities
• Preparation of statutory reports for state and federal agencies
• General ledger maintenance and reconciliations
• Support the audit and tax filing process

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred
• Experience in public accounting, ideally within the audit and assurance practice, with a focus on non-profit clients.
• Understanding of non-profit accounting, fund accounting, restricted funds, reconciliations, and release of funds-or the willingness to learn and be mentored.
• QuickBooks Online experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation:

$80,000-$90,000
