Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Audit Senior to join our team at a growing regional public accounting firm. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of recent audit and assurance experience in public accounting, with a strong understanding of GAAP, audit methodology, and internal control environments.As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in leading audit engagements from planning through completion, supervising and mentoring staff, reviewing workpapers, and serving as a liaison between clients and firm leadership. You will work directly with Managers and Partners to ensure the highest quality of service, foster a positive team environment, and contribute to the professional development of junior team members.This role offers a clear path for career advancement, exposure to a wide range of industries and clients, and the opportunity to be part of a collaborative culture that values integrity, accountability, and client service excellence.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Clear and effective written and verbal communication internally and externally with project team, peers and leadershipPrepare financial statements for compilations, reviews, and audit engagementsProfessionally communicate with clients and build positive, sustainable client relationshipsAssign work to Staff Accountants when appropriate, ensuring work is completed in a timely and thorough mannerReview audit work prepared by Staff Accountants when appropriate, providing guidance and development opportunitiesAssist in the overall training and development of Staff accountantsParticipate in business development initiatives, activities, and special projects as they present themselvesREQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EDUCATION:Bachelor's or Master’s degree in accounting and in-progress or obtained CPA certification3 - 5 years of experience in audit and attestationPassionate about a career in public accounting and committed to ongoing professional growthDetail oriented with attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsAbility to switch from proactive, independent work to collaborative, integrated team member as the task or project demandsProficient in time management with an emphasis on the importance of meeting deadlines while managing multiple projects and clientsStrong verbal and written communication and analytical skillsFlexibility to adapt to firm- and client- specific practicesKnowledge of GAAP and GAASFamiliarity with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experience with CCH Systems preferredStephano Slack is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
