People & Culture Generalist

THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL Talent is key at Sciens Building Solutions. We are seeking a high energy, experienced People & Culture Generalist who is people-focused, motivated, and organized to help drive a comprehensive talent management program. The person in this role will manage the day-to-day internal People & Culture needs for the Sciens Platform. This person will support the implementation, communication, and administration of People & Culture initiatives. They should have success in building partnerships across departments and building trust with employees. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!) Administration of company policies, procedures, and documentation for People & Culture matters. Assist with recruitment efforts and prepare employees for assignments by planning and conducting orientation and training programs. Ensure that the Platform is compliant with federal, state, and local legal requirements. Effectively manage FMLA leave and disability related tasks and reporting. Work and transact within the Workday HRIS system. Maintain all personnel transactions, such as hires, promotions, compensation adjustments, transfers, and terminations. Aid and facilitate employee investigations, disciplinary meetings, and terminations. Assist with initiatives designed to recognize performance through engagement reviews and other employee programs. Administer HRIS tasks related to recruiting, onboarding and offboarding. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU Bachelor's degree from an accredited program, preferably in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field. Five or more years of human resource administration experience required; at least one year of human resource generalist or management experience preferred. Knowledge of labor laws, employment law guidelines & policies and compliance regulations, including FMLA. Exceptional people skills and experience providing counsel/feedback. Ability to develop relationships and influence at all levels within the organization. Working knowledge of Workday or related payroll and HR management systems.
