Patient Service Representative / Medical Receptionist

Eye Care Specialists is a busy multi-specialty ophthalmology practice with 7 physicians and 3 locations in Norwood and Norfolk. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Receptionists to join our healthcare team. Full-time and part-time positions are available. The ideal candidate provides excellent customer service, communicates professionally, and thrives in a busy medical office setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Patient Greeting, registration, scheduling, data entry, and processing.
  • Educates patients regarding benefits and collects patient payments, at point of service.
  • Complete and accurate management of patient data in practice management system.
  • Verify health insurances and obtain referrals.
  • Miscellaneous administrative tasks including, but not limited to scheduling, transportation to other offices, filing, faxing, etc.
  • Must have a clear understanding of company policies including the company manual.
