Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) travel registered nurse (RN) position is based in a healthcare facility in Lewisville, Texas. This role involves providing patient care on an orthopedic trauma and medical surgical unit. The position requires a dedicated professional comfortable working night shifts and collaborating within a team-oriented environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS; 2 years of Medical Surgical (MS) experience; location requirements are flexible; no minimum experience needed for initial consideration
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience, preceptor experience
• Additional Information: The unit is a 32-bed orthopedic trauma and medical surgical unit. Staff includes RNs, LVNs, and PCTs with typical patient ratios of 1:6. Equipment used includes Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn vital sign machines. EMR system is Meditech. The role may require floating to a sister department such as Surgical Telemetry or Inpatient Rehabilitation. The team emphasizes a positive attitude and teamwork, with a strong culture of support among staff.
