(USA) Tire and Battery Service Advisor

Position Overview Sam’s Club – Tire & Battery Center (TBC) Associate in South Gate, CA. Responsible for maintaining the facility, safety standards, merchandise presentation, customer service, and sales in the TBC area. Key Responsibilities Maintain safety and order on the sales floor and in service bays, conduct safety sweeps, comply with forklift and hazardous material procedures, and report unsafe situations. Organize, stock, zone, and merchandize the TBC floor; manage claims, returns, shrink, and damaged goods. Manage tire and battery orders, schedule and communicate appointments, and provide recommendations for fitments and maintenance. Provide expert member service: greet members, assess needs, recommend products, explain warranties, resolve concerns, and handle payments, returns, and refunds. Drive sales and service excellence: communicate value of merchandise and partner with club associates to promote TBC offerings. Prioritize service workflow in the bays, triage waiting members, and coordinate with team leads or technicians. Demonstrate knowledge of safety protocols, industry guidelines, equipment operations, TPMS, Point‑of‑Sale systems, and in‑person selling techniques. Utilize digital tools and handheld devices to plan sales, improve the service experience, and support new technology adoption among team members. Act as a brand advocate, mentor team members, and support training and development. Process service requests, operate equipment, handle hardware, and maintain accurate documentation. Qualifications Valid state‑issued driver’s license. Minimum age of 18 years. Proficiency with computer and handheld devices; strong interpersonal skills.
