Job Type: Full-time Description Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Michaud Cooley Erickson (MCE) is responsible for shaping the financial future of our organization. The role drives fiscal discipline and strategic investment while providing executive guidance across finance, accounting, HR, IT, legal, compliance, and risk management. About The Role The CFO works directly with the President and serves as a trusted advisor to leadership teams, ensuring operational controls and accountability companywide. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic financial leadership and executive guidance Direct accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Oversee tax planning, compliance, and audits Manage cash flow, banking relationships, investment strategies, and internal controls Lead risk mitigation efforts across legal, HR, operations, and data security Foster a culture of accountability, mentorship, and continuous improvement Demonstrate and model MCE’s Core Values in all interactions Requirements & Qualifications MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required) CPA or CMA strongly preferred A minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience Proven success in senior-level management Strong US GAAP expertise and technical financial skills Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational abilities Proficient with financial system, Deltek Ajera preferred, HR tools, and Microsoft Excel We encourage our employees to be the best in our business and the communities they live in. Individual employee compensation is determined with a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, knowledge, skills, geography, and performance. Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives. Sponsorship is not available.
