HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW

The Vice President of Trade Compliance is a hands-on leader overseeing the high-volume import compliance operations. The VP is responsible for governance to international trade laws and regulations, adherence to government programs, mitigating regulatory risk, and optimizing cross-border logistics.

This is a hybrid position based near Boston, MA. Full relocation assistance is available.

 

EXPECTATIONS

· Oversee governance of compliance controls, policies, and procedures across a rapidly changing retail product and regulatory environment
· Ensure adherence to U.S. and global trade regulations
· Lead risk management strategies to identify, assess, and manage regulatory risk
· Embed trade compliance into cross-border logistics and supply chain workflows through internal and external partnerships
· Serve as the primary authority engaging with government import agencies, regulatory authorities, and external counsel
· Apply best-in-class trade compliance processes and global trade systems across the organization
· Build, lead, and coach high-performing trade compliance teams

 

ESSENTIALS

· 10+ years of trade compliance experience
· In depth knowledge of all aspects of import compliance; HTS, COO, Valuations, FTA, PGAs, etc.
· Licensed US Customs Broker (LCB) preferred
· Bachelor's Degree required
· Strong executive leadership skills
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
· Passion to grow a best-in-class import compliance program
· Experience ensuring trade compliance and audit program meets reasonable care standards
· Retail industry experience a plus
