We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager with great leadership skills who will contribute to a fun, friendly, and fast paced environment while developing a dynamic team.
Kitchen Manager responsibilities include supervising the food prep and cooking, maintaining a fully-stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage our kitchen staff and guide them to deliver quality food on time.
Responsibilities
· Assists with overseeing all BOH operations and is responsible for purchasing, receiving, preparation, and presentation of all food products in a timely manner and according to established recipes and procedures.
· Oversee the training and development of the kitchen team, ensuring constant improvement in culinary skills and consistency in production standards.
· Manage inventory, food and culinary labor costs.
· Prepare culinary team schedules to meet the needs of the restaurant and budget guidelines.
· Responsible for the cleanliness & maintenance of the kitchen. Ensures equipment is cleaned daily, supplies stored properly, etc.
· Proficient on all stations and able to fill in as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
· Functional in all stations in the kitchen and expeditor functions
· Able to control timing for food production to assure quality products
· Strong communication and organization skills
· Experienced in quality commercial or retail cooking
· Experience with inventories, yields, specs, portion control, par levels and rotation
· Skilled at controlling food costs – portion control, security, waste prevention
· Skilled at controlling labor costs- Interviewing, hiring, staffing and scheduling
· Basic math and computer skills, able to convert recipes
