Location: Torrance, California

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule

• Day Shift
• One Saturday shift required every 6-week rotation
• One on-call shift required every 6-week rotation

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Active California RN License required at time of submission
• Pending licenses not accepted
• BCLS certification required
• Local candidates accepted

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide perioperative nursing care in a busy acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be experienced in supporting surgical procedures, maintaining sterile technique, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with multidisciplinary surgical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to surgical patients throughout the perioperative process
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment for procedures
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during surgical cases
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention standards
• Perform patient assessments before, during, and after surgery
• Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with surgical technologists, physicians, anesthesia staff, and recovery teams
