Assistant Summer Day Camp Director - FT (5241)

Job Details Location: FLA-Palm Beach County Area Command - West Palm Beach, FL 33409 Position Type: Seasonal Full Time Education Level: High School Diploma / GED Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour (depends on experience) Travel Percentage: Minimal Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hour work day Key Responsibilities Assist in the planning and providing activities and child care services for school‑age children participating in After School and/or Summer Day Camp programs Provide leadership and constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner Assist the Director to ensure activities for school‑age children; ensure activities are age appropriate, stimulating, fun and safe Determine appropriate supplies and materials for recreational activities; ensure children's safety in utilizing the same Provide opportunities for physical and mental stimulation through both inside and outside learning activities Prepare and serve children snacks and meals; ensure that children receive nutritious and tasteful food; provide a positive, relaxed atmosphere during mealtime encouraging conversation Organize and supervise recreational staff; observe, monitor, and supervise children on the playground when needed Prepare schedules, parent notices, newsletters, and other instruments necessary for the smooth operation of all programs Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Ability to meet attendance requirements Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Ability to observe children and ensure their safety Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor recreational environment where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or noise, dust, dirt, and the like Employee Benefits N/A What We Are Looking For In You High School Diploma or GED, 45 hour required DCF School Age Training Two years of experience teaching child development programs in a church or pre‑school Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities Licenses and Certifications Valid state driver's license C.P.R. and First Aid Certification Equal Opportunity Employer: Veterans/Disabled #J-18808-Ljbffr
