About the Role:
RMS Marine Service US LLC is looking for a skilled Food planning Purchaser to join our team in Houston, TX! In this vital role, you'll be at the heart of our supply chain operations, ensuring the highest quality food products are sourced and delivered to keep our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities:

• Source, negotiate, and purchase food products and provisions from approved vendors and suppliers
• This position is fully responsible for the management and coordination of the planning procurement function. 
  ·    Centered around vessel schedules and customer requirements, the role organizes and coordinates the procurement execution for urgent orders, planned orders, and key projects. 

Through effective planning management, exception analysis, and cross-departmental collaboration, the incumbent will continuously reduce the unprepared rate, improve the success rate of urgent order delivery, and maximize procurement profitability while ensuring on-time delivery. supplier quality, pricing, and reliability to ensure best value and compliance with standards

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records and purchasing documentation
• Coordinate timely delivery of food provisions to meet operational schedules and deadlines
• Build and maintain strong relationships with food vendors, distributors, and suppliers
• Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to optimize purchasing decisions
• Ensure all purchased food items meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards
• Proficient in AX system operations, efficiently process urgent orders placed today for next-day supply to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with category buyers to fulfill orders according to platform/system delivery dates. Provide timely feedback to the operation team for improvement if platform/system delivery dates are inaccurate.
• Continuously analyze and provide feedback on unfulfilled items. Report internal or supplier-related issues to category buyers for improvement, and communicate customer-caused urgent shortages to sales. Minimize unfulfilled items caused by internal errors. 
• Maintain knowledge of sourcing channels and pricing for locally procured products. Familiarize with inventory, continuously learn product knowledge, and broaden professional perspective.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in food procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage vendor relationships effectively
• Knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and quality control practices
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and purchasing software
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
