Data Scientist – Marketing Analytics & Decision Science

Our client is a well-established organization that leverages advanced analytics to drive strategic business decisions. They are seeking a Data Scientist to partner with commercial leadership, helping marketing and sales teams improve performance through data-driven insights and predictive analytics.

This role is ideal for a business-focused Data Scientist who enjoys partnering directly with marketing and sales leaders to solve commercial challenges through statistical analysis and decision science. You'll leverage predictive analytics, regression modeling, and hypothesis testing to uncover trends, identify growth opportunities, and deliver actionable recommendations that influence business strategy. This is a highly collaborative position focused on business outcomes—not data engineering or production machine learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with marketing, sales, and commercial leaders to solve business challenges using advanced analytics and statistical modeling.
• Build predictive models and perform analyses including regression, hypothesis testing, trend analysis, and forecasting.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify business drivers, customer behavior, and performance opportunities.
• Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Measure campaign performance, lead generation effectiveness, and commercial outcomes using data-driven insights.
• Collaborate with technical teams to leverage enterprise data platforms while remaining focused on business analytics and decision support.
• Present findings and influence strategic decisions through effective communication and storytelling with data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Decision Science, Marketing Analytics, or Advanced Analytics.
• Experience supporting B2B marketing, sales, demand generation, commercial analytics, or CRM/customer analytics is required.
• Strong expertise in predictive analytics, statistical modeling, regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and descriptive analytics.
• Proficiency with Python and SQL.
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise datasets; Databricks experience is preferred.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation, collaboration, and consultative communication skills.

Additional Details:

• This is not a Data Engineering or Machine Learning Engineering role.
• Candidates should have experience partnering directly with business stakeholders rather than focusing solely on data infrastructure or production pipelines.
• B2B commercial or marketing analytics experience is required
