Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR Scrub Tech for a hospital-based surgical position in Hilo, Hawaii, requiring at least 2 years of scrubbing experience and the ability to independently scrub a broad range of surgical procedures. Requirements Minimum 2 years of scrubbing experience in a hospital OR setting Ability to independently scrub General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, OB, and GYN cases BLS/BCLS certification required Active Hawaii state license required by start of assignment; candidates not currently licensed in Hawaii must apply upon acceptance of offer — license required if applicable Responsibilities Hospital-based OR setting with 1-2 rooms running simultaneously daily, plus 1-2 outpatient GI labs Small but high-volume and efficient OR environment Broad surgical case mix including General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, OB, and GYN procedures Variable shifts operating within a 0645–2315 window based on department needs Scheduled 40 hours per week, with potential for 32 hours during holiday weeks On-call coverage is required 24/7; travelers are assigned call an average of 1–2 times per week plus up to 2 weekends per month, with a 20-minute callback time Assist with OR turnover cleaning between cases Transport patients as needed Orientation is conducted on day shift for up to one week, or at the manager's discretion All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to their start date; plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to attend a Friday morning Employee Health appointment Hospital-provided scrubs are worn; no personal scrubs required If RTO is requested, a minimum of 39 shifts must be completed over the duration of the 13-week contract Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-736229 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
