About the Role

This position supports a busy Operating Room by assisting surgical teams across multiple specialties while maintaining sterile technique and ensuring efficient surgical procedures. The ideal candidate is confident scrubbing a wide variety of cases and thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile instruments, and surgical supplies for scheduled procedures.
- Independently scrub and assist during General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetric, and Gynecologic procedures.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures while anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
- Assist with patient transport, operating room turnover, and preparation between surgical cases.
- Complete accurate documentation and collaborate with the surgical team while following patient safety and infection control standards.
- Active Hawaii Surgical Technologist license required by assignment start (license application accepted upon offer).
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital Operating Room Scrub Tech experience required.
- Ability to independently scrub multiple surgical specialties.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation, weekend coverage, holiday coverage, and variable scheduling.
