Job Opportunity – General Medicine Provider – Louisiana

Start Date: Ongoing, PRN basis
Location: Fort Polk, Louisiana
Compensation: $600 per half-day (4 hours or less) / $1,200 per full day (5+ hours) plus one-time $650 bonus upon completion of training and first exams
Schedule: 2 days per week, flexible half-day or full-day shifts available

Highlights:

• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans
• Primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessment including range of motion and muscle strength testing
• No prescribing or treatment required – non-treatment exams only
• Quick credentialing and onboarding process
• Must have own office space within 20-mile radius of service area
• Flexible PRN schedule with option for half-day or full-day shifts

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Louisiana medical license
• AANP certification required
• Background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or General Medicine
• Proficiency in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
• Own laptop (Windows-based, no Mac/Apple products)
• Willingness to complete DMA training and certification
• Own compliant office space with wheelchair accessibility, appropriate exam rooms, and medical equipment
• Self-Query NPDB within 30 days of application
