Manufacturing Technician II

DPP is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry.

Work Location: Onsite in Oxnard CA
Duration: 12 months
Terms: W2 Contract
Work Authorization: US Citizen

Responsibilities:

• Run functional electrical or mechanical tests on components following written instructions.
• Document results log errors and report non-conformances to engineers quality and manufacturing.
• Identify and analyze equipment failures or defects during testing.
• Execute comprehensive component and system level test plans procedures and test events.
• Participate in test planning and test readiness reviews.
• Analyze measurement requirements and equipment measurement tolerances.
• Define and maintain documented best practices for test processes and equipment.
• Contribute to maintaining and improving test equipment and infrastructure.
• Gathers maintains formats compiles and manipulates technical data such component and systems level test results and engineering design changes.
• Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
• Maintains engineering documentation and reports (procedures and test reports).
• Support internal and external customers needs.
• Identify troubleshoot and solve test problems and provide assistance to manufacturing inspection and test engineering related issues.
• Analyze data and provide reports in a variety of customers format.
• Must be able to support working multiple shifts; ie: 1st shift 6am to 3:30pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm to Midnight

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 3 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints schematics and wiring diagrams plus experience with multimeters calipers or torque wrenches.
• Attention to detail ability to spot minor flaws and recording of accurate data.
• 3 years overall experience as a technician in the manufacturing/engineering field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience working with a Microsoft Office product and process documentation.
• Experience working in Cleanroom Environment and Environmental Test Area.
• Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to manipulate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with working around delicate spacecraft hardware an advantage.
• Certification in engineering disciplines.
• Some college preferred.
