Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Missouri or compact nursing license required Certifications: ACLS and BLS required Must-Have: High-risk telemetry experience required Cardiac drip management experience required Sheath pull experience required Central line management experience required Description: This position involves providing care in a telemetry unit. Nurses will work night shifts on a 3x12 hour schedule. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6. Every other weekend shift is expected, which will total 6 weekend shifts over a 6-week schedule. Candidates must have experience with post-operative cardiac patients. Responsibilities include managing cardiac drips and interpreting dysrhythmias. Travelers will float within their scope to meet facility needs. No on-call duties are required. This is an acute care setting, and the patient population generally consists of adults with high-risk cardiology diagnoses. Special interdisciplinary support is available, including respiratory services and social services. All nursing staff will manage central lines and perform sheath pulls. Daily census averages around 30 patients on this unit. The role requires understanding isolation precautions and non-invasive airway management techniques. Successful candidates will have experience with various telemetry-related skills.
