Staff Nurse

Staff Nurses are responsible for the following:

• Performs patient procedures within the nursing scope of practice.
• Practices safe medication administration and assesses patient responses to medication.
• Participates in reviewing and/or implementing clinical pathways and care coordination.

The Staff Nurse will provide professional nursing care to a group of patients within a specified time period and complete all required documentation.

Qualifications for this position include:

• BSN Degree preferred
• State Issued RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association and ACLS
• Two years recent RN experience in specialty
• CEN, CCRN or proof of ECCO required
• Trauma course preferred
• The orientation is 4 shifts (2 TJUH, 1 Methodist, 1 JHN).

• Minimum Commitment = 48 hrs per 6 week period

Up to 24 hrs 50% of commitment will be scheduled on the weekend, as needed, Friday 7pm to Monday 7am

3 major holiday or premium days per year
