We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Hand Therapist to join our dedicated team at our office in Las Cruces, NM — just a short drive up I-10 from El Paso. In this role, you will assess, plan, and implement customized treatment programs for patients recovering from hand injuries, surgeries, and conditions impacting upper extremity function. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping patients regain movement, reduce pain, and restore daily function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients with upper extremity conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans

• Design and implement individualized rehabilitation programs

• Use evidence-based techniques, including manual therapy, modalities, exercise prescription, and custom splinting

• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and preventive care

• Document patient progress and collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers

• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment

To qualify, you must be licensed to practice in Texas — we'll help cover the costs and process of obtaining your New Mexico license.

• Evaluate patients with upper extremity conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Design and implement individualized rehabilitation programs tailored to each patient's needs.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques, including manual therapy, modalities, exercise prescription, and custom splinting.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and preventive care to ensure long-term success.
• Document patient progress meticulously and collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers for comprehensive care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment to enhance patient comfort and safety.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in hand therapy to provide cutting-edge treatment options.

• A valid state license to practice in New Mexico
• Experience in hand therapy (CHT certification is preferred but not required)
• Experience in evaluating and treating upper extremity conditions, ensuring tailored and effective treatment plans.
• Ability to design and implement individualized rehabilitation programs that cater to diverse patient needs.
• Proven track record of utilizing evidence-based techniques, including manual therapy, modalities, and custom splinting.
• Strong communication skills to educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and preventive care.
• Meticulous documentation skills to track patient progress and collaborate effectively with healthcare providers.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment for enhanced patient comfort.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements in hand therapy to provide cutting-edge treatment options.
