Support Services Supervisor

Position Overview Under the direction of the Laboratory Support Services Manager, this role manages, supervises, and coordinates daily operations across pre-analytic and post-analytic laboratory services, specimen management, patient registration, test ordering, and phlebotomy services. The position oversees the Wilson and BGH phlebotomy teams, ensuring safe, compliant, efficient, and customer-focused operations. Responsibilities include staff leadership, workflow oversight, regulatory compliance, training, quality assurance, and direct support for operational needs such as specimen processing, test order entry and phlebotomy. The role also responds to and resolves issues involving workload distribution, equipment, personnel, patient complaints, and provider service needs. Work Locations: UHS Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY UHS Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NY There is more than one location associated with this position. This is either because there are multiple openings at different sites, or the successful candidate will be required to float across multiple UHS facilities. Primary Work Shift: Day Rotational Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $22.97 - $34.46 per hour, depending on experience Education & Experience Minimum Required: High School Diploma/GED5+ years’ healthcare experience, including 3-5 years of direct phlebotomy experience. Preferred 3-5 years of supervisory experience within a clinical laboratory or phlebotomy setting. Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, CDM, medical necessity, value-based care Licensure/Certification Minimum Required: N/A.
