Barista

La Tazza D'Oro is looking for a Barista who is responsible for preparing hot and cold beverages, educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up‑selling special items and taking orders. *Compensation based on experience* Duties / Responsibilities Maintains the highest level of standards for all production preparation Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea Adheres to all company recipes and measurements Produces superior product presentation Keep bar dishwashing sinks filled with correct cleaning solution and levels Maintain inventory of all coffee product and alert a manager for re-ordering Check if brewing equipment is working properly and report any maintenance needs Provide engaged, friendly and attentive customer service to all guests inclusive of eye contact, respectable conversation, and smiling Practice highest regards for safety within all areas and with all materials Follow and adhere to all standards set forth by the Department of Health (DOH) Perform other related activities as assigned by management Deliver timely and courteous service to LDV Hospitality guests in adherence to our company policies and procedures Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English Must have basic math skills Maintain friendly, helpful and positive attitude at all times Strong customer service background Ability to have an outgoing, friendly disposition for guest relations Working knowledge of drink recipes and preparation Adherence to company, state, and county sanitation standards Strict adherence to posted schedule and clock in/out at times Attendance to company meetings and training seminars as required Responsible for training and developing new employees to LDV Hospitality’s standards of service Adherence to company uniform and grooming policies Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned by management Adhere to all HR policies and procedures Education / Experience 1+ year’s experience as a Barista in a similar caliber establishment A high school education is required Physical/Special Requirements Ability to lift at least 30 pounds on a regular basis Ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day Mobility and manual dexterity appropriate to staff in the Barista position We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug-Free Workplace. #J-18808-Ljbffr
