Field Reimbursement Manager, Immunology Rheumatology - Chicago, IL

Job Description The Immunology Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) functions as a specialized in‑office resource for healthcare providers (HCPs) within a designated geographic territory. This role is field‑based and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. The FRM engages directly with HCP offices to address patient access and reimbursement inquiries related to AbbVie’s immunology portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Educate HCPs, including bio coordinators and office staff, on AbbVie patient support programs, access and reimbursement tools, and services. Educate on product acquisition options such as specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution. Educate resources and strategies to address patient access issues. Offer localized expertise on national and regional payer policies, including updates on coding changes and claims submission methodology. Collaborate with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement Support Center to relay prescription status and program eligibility updates. Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and Market Access account teams. Establish and maintain professional relationships with providers within the assigned territory. Maintain current knowledge of managed care, reimbursement, and policy trends. Territory Northern Illinois, Southern Indiana, and part of Iowa (major cities: Chicago, IL; Springfield, IL; Bloomington, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Evansville, IN; Terre Haute, IN). Qualifications Minimum of 3 years’ experience in immunology or access and reimbursement with market‑access and payer account‑management expertise. Exceptional territory and strategic account‑management skills including process mastery, customer engagement, strategic mindset, collaboration, and market dynamics. Proven leadership record within current role. Functional knowledge of access and reimbursement support service centers. Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities. Strong understanding of coding and billing requirements at the national and regional level, including Medicare Parts A, B, C and D, and associated reimbursement dynamics. Demonstrated understanding of rules, regulations, and risks associated with reimbursement‑support services. Ability to quickly build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and lead without authority. Position classified as grade 18 or 19, depending on qualifications, experience, and skills. Bachelor’s degree. Valid driver’s license, ability to pass a pre‑employment drug‑screening test, and meet safe‑driving requirements; driving a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material‑handling equipment. Additional Information Compensation range is a range of possible base pay based on job grade; actual pay depends on factors such as location and performance.
